Recipe – How to Make Kheer as in reader page
Ingredients
- 1 litre milk; 1/4 cup rice (washed & soaked); 1/2 cup sugar
- 4–5 cardamom (crushed); 10–12 almonds (sliced); 10–12 cashews (chopped)
- 8–10 raisins; pinch of saffron (opt.); 1–2 tbsp ghee (opt.)
Steps
- Boil the Milk: Stir sometimes so it doesn’t stick. दूध उबालें, चलाते रहें।
- Add the Rice: Add soaked rice & mix. भीगे चावल डालें।
- Cook the Rice: 20–25 min on low heat till milk thickens. धीमी आँच पर पकाएँ।
- Add Sugar & Cardamom: Stir till sugar melts. चीनी-इलायची डालें।
- Add Nuts & Saffron (opt.): Ghee-roasted nuts; saffron if you like. मेवे/केसर वैकल्पिक।
- Simmer & Serve: 5–10 min more; serve warm/cold. थोड़ा और पकाकर परोसें।
